Time & Tradition
Continental Coffee has painstakingly taken its time to master
a beautifully balanced cup of coffee. The pursuit of the perfect cup starts with the selection
of the Fincas (coffee farms) from which the coffee berries are made to mature and ripen
on the tree. The higher quality coffees prefer higher altitudes. It is from the trees grown
on higher slopes that our trained coffee pickers carefully select the beans that eventually
end up in our Premium Blends.
The Beans
Robusta and Arabica are the two main commercial varieties. The best beans are produced
by Arabica trees. The flavour of the Arabica is rich and the aroma excellent.
Robusta as the name implies, are more robust. They are cheaper to produce and are the
common choice of most instant coffees. Continental Coffee uses mainly only fine estate
Arabica from the islands to create the perfect cup.
The Roast
The selected beans are then passed through a final cleaning and grading process
to ensure that only the best beans are custom roasted. Most of our coffees are roasted
to bring out the finest characteristics of the Arabica beans.
The Perfect Cup
The final result is a perfect cup of coffee.
Although it took some time to create this product, we believe it has
been well worth the wait. Truly an experience.
